What most people need is a plan, and support.  This blog, and the program I offer do both. It’s also at no charge.

You have to change your diet to be successful.  Not a lot, but a little.  Not all at once, but over time.

Here is what I want you to do.  It’s something I am doing right now with weight loss clients and some of my Pro Football playing friends like Jovon Johnson and Marcellus Bowman.  Set a period of time and make goals for your results.  2-3lbs a week is the highest you want to go.  Think half a pound a week as the safest and make a plan.  Set your timer for 90 days.  With my pro athletes I like to take 3 months(aka 90days) and get to work on changing things up.  It’s an amount of time that you can swallow, and it will produce results at the end of it.

It takes 3 weeks to make a habit, 6 weeks for you to notice a change, 10 weeks for your friends to notice a change, and 12 weeks for you to decide you love the results and you want more!

For the next 90 days add things to your life, limit what you take away completely and suddenly.  For instance, add healthy meals and smaller serving sizes.  If you love starbucks latte’s limit to 3 a week.  Don’t try to completely change everything in one shot, that’s what the next 90 days is for. If you love pop, don’t take it away completely, you will go insane and then quit the whole program.  Slowly take out the things that trip you up.  You have 90 days to change your life, so use it.

The goal at the start of any weight loss program is to balance your blood sugar.  It’s why experts say to eat 5 meals a day.  It helps fight cravings, and it keeps your calories down. If you are not eating 5 times a day, try adding in smoothies and protein shakes. The way I see it, I want people eating meals and food.  More than that I want them to level blood suagr.  If you weren’t going to eat, why not at least get the benefits of vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber from a shake.  What did I get Tammy to do? A smoothie in the morning.  You set your body off on the right path instantly. Then in the afternoon, if Tammy didn’t have a snack or forgot, she grabbed a protein shake.

Weight loss is easy. It has to be done on small pieces, the focus is on what goes in your body. Start the day off right.  Make sure you have a mid afternoon snack. Both those things will be your key to dropping weight.
